Meet the Team
Mr. Moraga is in his 20th year of teaching. He has a bachelors and masters degree from CSU Fullerton and a teaching credential from CP Pomona. His teaching experiences include 3rd grade, 5-8th grade, high school and adult training. When he is not teaching 3rd graders, you can find him camping with his wife and three children, gardening at home, walking with his 2 dogs, hiking hills, backpacking in the mountains, at church, or cheering on his beloved Los Angeles Clippers.

Mrs. Hoey is beginning her 10th year teaching. She went to Whittier College, where she received her bachelors and masters degree as well as her teaching credential. Her teaching experiences include 6-7th grade at Hillview Middle School. When she is not teaching 3rd grade, you can find her spending time with her husband, at the beach, traveling, watching football, or hanging out with her family.

Mr. Holtom Mr. Holtom is beginning his 18th year teaching at Scott Avenue Elementary School. This is his 14th year teaching third grade. Mr. Holtom received a Bachelor’s of Science degree from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. He later received a Master’s of Arts degree in Education from Azusa Pacific University.
Mr. Holtom has resided in Whittier for most of his life. He currently lives close to Whittier College with his wife and two daughters. Mr. Holtom is an accomplished musician specializing in brass instruments. He is a member of two orchestras playing trombone and French horn. Over the years he has toured parts of Europe and South America with these orchestras. When not working at Scott Avenue, Mr. Holtom enjoys spending time with his family, teaching private music lessons including piano, gardening, going to car shows in one of his Mustangs, and traveling. |
This is Mrs. Will's fourth year at Scott Avenue. Before teaching at Scott, she taught 7th grade Pre-Algebra and Life Science at Hillview Middle School for five years. Mrs. Will was so excited to teach at Scott, when given the opportunity. She has always wanted to teach third grade. She went to Whittier College for undergraduate and graduate studies. Some of her hobbies are dancing and singing. She is known as the team cheerleader for third grade. Mrs. Will loves kids and wants them to be their very best every day. She also helps with the Fall PTA Reflections event and oversees the art club at Scott Avenue.
